Our Services
Advanced pipeline route identification and assessment using CostMAPPRO, along with Pre-FEED/FEED studies.
We utilize CostMAPPRO, the most advanced screening-level CO2 transportation & routing modeling software, to identify the most efficient and cost-effective routes for CO2 resource transportation. In addition to modeling costs and routes associated with CO2 pipelines, our models have been used for transmission lines associated with wind or solar energy, hydrogen, and more.
Assess different routes for infrastructure by considering a variety of CO2 sources, pipeline or transmission corridors, hydrogen, and more
Allow for user-defined considerations, such environmentally sensitive areas or migration corridors, or avoiding natural hazards
Inform your decision-making with a range of what-if scenario planning
Find answers to common questions about our pipeline and energy infrastructure touring services and the capabilities of our CostMAPPRO software.
Carbon Solutions uses our state-of-the-art CostMAPPRO software to design infrastructure routes. We comprehensively consider a variety of different factors that influence deployment of pipeline infrastructure, including customer-defined priorities.
Carbon Solutions approach to routing pipelines goes beyond considering the cost of building new pipeline for new CCS infrastructure deployment. Carbon Solutions routing weights are intended to include social and environmental concerns to create an overall affinity or aversion to pipeline routing for an area. By accounting for the social and environmental factors, pipeline routing can be made specifically to consider important local ares of importance. Further, Carbon Solutions can work with clients to customize data layer inputs to help create routing layers that are more specific for client needs.
Carbon Solutions software incorporates a variety of physical, environmental, and social considerations in developing infrastructure network pathways. It accounts for factors like: terrain, water bodies, land cover, population density, land ownership, existing infrastructure such as pipelines and transmission lines, railroads, roads, environmentally protected areas, and marine protected areas.
Carbon Solutions’ approach to routing can be used for a variety of projects such as carbon dioxide transportation, hydrogen transportation, and water pipelines. We are happy to discuss whether our approach can help with your project.
Yes! Carbon Solutions offers a variety of services to integrate our routing approach into early stages of project design and development.
