Chris Gilhooley
Research Scientist
Chris is a research scientist focused on automating GIS workflows which support Carbon Solutions’ CO2 capture, transport and storage software. He has expertise in GIS process automation using Python, cost path analysis, and systems integration using PHP, Python and MySQL. He also has experience developing end-user solutions to analyze and visualize data using ArcGIS, QGIS, Tableau and Google Maps.
Prior to joining Carbon Solutions, Chris worked at Avicado Construction Technology where he led a project to integrate third-party software with Meta’s internal backend infrastructure. Before that, he worked as a GIS developer, automating workflows to support water resources engineering projects. When not at work, Chris enjoys hiking, gardening, and watching terrible horror movies with his wife.
