Cloud-based High-Performance Computing Decision-Making Software

Project Overview

Reaction Engineering International (REI) and the project team are developing a next-generation, cloud-based decision-making software platform that integrates a wide variety of tools into a single, easy-to-use application with a web-based user interface, with capabilities to evaluate and optimize project planning, costs, risks, and uncertainty. A key element of this unified application is detailed High-Performance-Computing (HPC) modeling of underground CO₂  reservoirs. The software will be sold using a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model where users pay for access to the website and corresponding simulation engine. The competitive advantage of the product will be its ease-of-access, ease-of-use, and the enhanced modeling capabilities that will be phased in by the team long-term

Carbon Solutions is supporting the project by developing CO₂ sequestration, geothermal, and enhanced oil recovery simulations using PFLOTRAN.
